As of Monday, April 14, 2014, all of my documents have been submitted. They are on their way, to Abu Dhabi, to commence immigration processing. :-) So, I have ONE more thing checked off of my list.
However, I still have TONS to do. I'm in the process of selling my furniture. For some reason, I'm procrastinating about getting rid of extra items. My mom says I'm a pack rat and a clothes horse. This may, or may not, be true. I'll plead the 5th.
Whatever I'm not able to sell, I'll be donating to a women's shelter. So, I'll probably be donating a lot of clothes and household items. It's hard to decide, as far as clothes, what to keep...
I know the weather is very different... But, I do plan on doing a lot of traveling. Therefore, I will eventually, need winter things.
There's so many things to consider... Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers... Until next time...

So, You're probably wondering how I ended up applying for this job... Truth is, it happened really fast. My mother had been talking to me about it. By the way, she's been teaching for over 25 years.
For some reason, during the month of October, it was just on my mind... I did some research for a couple of weeks. During my research, I found a company called Teach Away. It seemed like the best fit for me. So, I STARTED my application on October 14, 2013. It was late; so I didn't finish the application. However, less than 24 hours later, I was contacted by a coordinator. On October 24, 2013, I had my phone pre-screen. After it ended, I was told that I was approved for an IPI (In Person Interview); and that they would be in contact.... Well, some time passed.... On January 18, 2014 I received an email saying that they had scheduled IPI's. Mine was to take place on Friday February 5, 2014, in Houston, Texas. Yay!!!
I called up a friend, in Houston, and asked if I could crash with them. Of course, they said yes! I drove down on Thursday night. On Friday morning, I was SO nervous... There were so many people interviewing! I was interviewed, by 3 people, at the same time. It only lasted about 20 minutes. I was told that I would hear something within the next few weeks. But, I heard much quicker. The next business day, Monday February 8, 2014, I got the email. I was so excited. Things have been moving so fast since then.

Hey, Ya'll. I am originally from MS; now living in TX. Currently, I am teaching 7th and 8th grade math, in MISD.
I'm super excited because I'm preparing to embark on a tremendous opportunity! Next year, I'll be teaching in Abu Dhabi!!! It seems that it's happening so fast. But, hopefully, I'll be ready.
